Accommodation at Aongatete Outdoor Education Centre

A total of 92 people can be accommodated in dormitory style bunkroom accommodation with separate male and female bathroom and toilet facilities. One bunkhouse has 32 beds, the other 40 beds. Staff accommodation (with its own bathroom and toilet facilities) comprises one room of 4 bunks and 2 rooms with 8 bunks in each. Regulations allow for a maximum of 100 people on site. Provision has been made for wheel chair access to the buildings.

The kitchen has two commercial electric stoves, refrigerators, a zip water heater and a deep freeze. It has stainless steel bench tops and a vinyl floor. A wide range of crockery, utensils and cooking ware is available.

The large dining room is heated by a wood burner and water heating is done with a Marshall heater or electricity.
There is a barbeque available but you will need to bring your own gas bottle.
There is also a laundry / drying room with coin operated washing machine and drier which require 2 x $1 coins.

A comprehensive range of camp-out equipment (tents, billies and pans, compasses) is available at no extra charge. Bring your own small gas cookers for each tent group. Application to use this equipment must be made at booking and an extra $100 bond paid when you confirm your acceptance of the dates offered.
